Dino Land Volcano Lunch
What you'll need:
A large sheet pan
A tall glass or blender (to make the volcano)
Tin foil
Instant mashed potatoes
Dinosaur chicken nuggets (I've seen them at Aldi and Walmart)
Gravy
Broccoli
Optional: Ketchup (for theatrics)
How to do it:
1. Lay your sheet pan out and place blender (or similar vessel) upside down and cover the entire sheet pan and blender with tin foil. (The blender will be your volcano) 🌋
2. Cook your potatoes and thickly slather them all over the tin foil lined pan and blender.
3. Place Dino nuggets 🦕 strategically and add optional broccoli for "trees" 🌳 (can also add ketchup for theatrical blood effects)
4. Use a spoon and carve out a divet on top of the volcano and a grooved road for the gravy to flow down from the top of the volcano downwards.
Your stage is all set!
5. The show can begin! Gather the kiddos around and either you or one of the children can slowly pour the gravy on top of the volcano and watch it erupt and slide downhill!
Such a memorable, simple fun lunch for kids that is sure to create the best memories! For a full on experience visit a local museum with dinosaurs and don't forget to utilize your local library as well! You can grab some dinosaur books and even a Dino DVD 🦖
Enjoy!
